We have several different types of appointments aimed at meeting the needs of the majority of patients.
Many people like to see the same doctor for continuity and we aim to provide this service as we believe it provides the best care for our patients. We will try the best we can to ensure that you see the doctor of choice, but as some doctors work part-time, please book ahead if possible. You can always see any doctor at the practice for urgent matters.
Appointments can be booked in person, over the telephone or online via the link at the top of this page. To register for our online services please contact reception for a username and password, we will post this to your home address. If you wish to collect the details from reception, please bring some photographic identification for security.
TELEPHONE APPOINTMENTS: A telephone call can often save time for both patients and doctors, and we are developing telephone consultations as a means of improving efficiency. For general medical advice you can also call the NHS on 111.
SAME DAY APPOINTMENT: These are on the day appointments to be used for problems like suspected UTI's/Chest Infections. Please phone early in the day if you genuinely require one of these appointments. We have a limited number of these appointments and once these have gone you will be triaged to 111 or another provider.
ROUTINE APPOINTMENTS: These can be booked up to 4 weeks in advance and are best suited to follow up continuing problems with a doctor of your choice. Routine appointments can also be booked online via the nhs app or our online services via this website and are released 7 or 14 days ahead.
NURSE APPOINTMENTS: Our Nurses can deal with a range of common problems including monitoring long term health conditions, Asthma Reviews, Smear Tests, Blood Tests, Blood Pressure Checks, Travel Vaccinations
HOME VISITS: Whilst we encourage our patients to come to the surgery where we have the proper facilities and equipment we do appreciate this is not always possible. If you are needing a home visit we ask if you can contact the surgery as soon as possible. Home visits are offered to housebound patients and where you are too ill to visit the surgery - a GP will contact you first do discuss your medical problem and your home visit request.
